Steve Guerdat takes major win in Brussel's GP qualifier

The 1.50m Qualifier in Brussels delivered top sport with a Jump-Off with eleven. Together with the 11-year-old Caracho (Cassilano) , Switzerland's Steve Guerdat jumped to victory under the lights.

Guerdat received an Audi-voucher of 25.000 euro, being almost half a second faster as Great-Britain's Harry Charles and the 12-year-old Aralyn Blue (Chacco-Blue). Ireland's showjumping rider, Max Wachman completed the top three aboard the 14-year-old Quintini (Quintender 2).

In front of his home-crowd, Belgium's Pieter Devos made the crowd go wild, jumping to the fourth spot. Devos and his 9-year-old mare by Cicero Z van Paemel, Jarina J were a bit faster as Friday's main winner, Ben Maher and Ginger-Blue (Plot Blue).

"I am really happy with my performance today. It’s a nice show, and I just won a great prize, so I am a happy man. Tomorrow is a big day. I am looking forward to the Grand Prix. I am riding Double Jeu D’Honvault. It is his first 5* Grand Prix, so maybe we are not the favorites, but we had a good run at this show, and I’ll try my best for sure. The Swiss team has been performing really strongly lately."
