The CSI5* Nations Cup was held in La Baule this afternoon. It was very exciting in the second round: it was not until the last rider was clear who would go home with the victory. The victory went to Switzerland. The team consisting of Elian Baumann (Campari Z), Steve Guerdat (Albfuehren's Maddox), Martin Fuchs (Conner 70) and Beat Mandli (Dsarie) only had four penalty points to their name after the two rounds.
The Italians finished in second place. They were awarded a total of seven penalty points over the two rounds. That earned Luca Marziani (Lightning), Filippo Bologni (Quilazio), Fabio Brotto (Vanita' Delle Roane) and Riccardo Pisani (Chaclot) the silver medal.
Only when the last Irishman had jumped did it become clear that Belgium was the winner. Guery got one jumping fault behind him in the second round on Grupo Prom Milton (by Mylord Carthago). In the first round he could keep the zero. Yves Vanderhasselt and Jeunesse (by Eldorado vd Zeshoek) were the Belgian stars with two clear rounds behind their name. Pieter Devos got with Jade vd Bisschop (by Ogano Sitte) one fault in the first round, in the second round they could keep the zero. Finally Bruynseels and Jenson van't Meulenhof (by Vagabond de la Pomme) had a few jumping faults in the first round, in the second round they got an unlucky fault.
