Update FEI Forum: changes in jumping and Olympic rules

Yesterday the first day of the FEI Jumping Forum took place. Below is an overview of the most important discussion points.

"As the FEI Jumping Rules undergo a complete revision in 2021 as part of the four-year Rules Revision policy, the second session of the day focused on the proposed changes to the FEI Jumping Rules that will be presented to the FEI General Assembly 2021 in November and, subject to approval by the National Federations, will be implemented on 1 January 2022.

Stephan Ellenbruch, Chairman of the FEI Jumping Committee, gave an overview of the amendment proposals from the National Federations and stakeholders with whom the FEI has concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The proposals mainly concerned an adjustment to time penalties, compensation to organising committees for athletes not turning up at events, the level of judging at CSI05* events and lower level events, changes to CSI invitation rules and proofs of ability for CSI5* events.
