Maikel van der Vleuten his former top mare VDL Groep Sapphire B (f. Mr. Blue) has died at the age of 21. The mare retired from the sport five years ago after jumping at the highest level with Van der Vleuten.
Her biggest victories where the GP of Maastricht in 2013 as well as a victory in the World Cup of Olympia in 2014.
