Kaitlin Campbell Wins $9,000 Netjets 1.40m FEI Speed Cup at Split Rock Jumping Tour's Sonoma International CSI2*

Kaitlin Campbell rode Palina De L'Escaut to victory in the $9,000 Netjets 1.40m FEI Speed Cup at the Split Rock Jumping Tour (SRJT) Sonoma International CSI2* at the Sonoma Horse Park in Petaluma, CA. The event continues through Sunday when it will culminate with the $100,000 CSI2* Grand Prix presented by Horseflight.

Campbell was the last of the 65 starters and she claimed her third win of the week by finishing clean in 62.140 seconds over Alan Wade's 12-jump course. Nick Dello Joio had held the lead for most of the class and he wound up second with a clean ride in 64.870 seconds on Columbcille De Reve. Third went to Mandy Porter who finished clean in 66.000 seconds on Milano.

"She is such a fast horse that she really covers ground very quickly," Campbell said of her 10-year-old Hanoverian mare. "On top of that, she doesn't jump too high over the jumps so she doesn't waste any time in the air."

Earlier in the day, Violet Lindemann claimed back-to-back wins, riding Picobello Choppin PC to victory in the $1,000 Horseflight 1.40m Junior/Amateur Power and Speed Stake and Its Real Love VD Smis Z to the win in the $1,000 1.30m Junior/Amateur Power and Speed Stake. Elena Townsend won the $1,000 1.20m Junior/Amateur Power and Speed Stake on Bally Graffan and Joie Gatlin won the $2,000 Alimend 1.35m Jump-off class on Sandetto with Mandy Porter placing second on WT Leapfrog and Eric Navet taking third on Adelita.
