Abdulrahman Alrajhi and Ventago open the CSI5* competition in Doha with victory on Thursday

The stage is set for the first Global Champions Tour battle, which will be held in Doha, Qatar! Thursday's biggest challenge was the CSI5* 1.45m Longines Ranking class. No biggie for Abdulrahman Alrajhi and Ventago, who were the winners at day one. 

Alrajhi (KSA) steered the 11 years old Ventago (Van Helsing) in 59,28s to the finish, keeping clear of the poles. With only 20 hundredths of a seconds difference, compatriot Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) had to settle for second place. He crossed the finish line in 59,48s aboard of Dancing Wolf O.L (Mylord Carthago). Olivier Perreau (FRA) followed on third with Bresil de Carnaval Santa Rosa (Mylord Carthago), stopping his chrono on 61,98s. 

With a time of 62,38s, Mouda Zeyada (EGY) jumped to fourth place on Katia (Emerald) and stayed in front of Ines Joly (FRA) with Faylinn de Fondcombe (Lando), who finished in 63,53s
