Mark McAuley and GRS Lady Amaro kick off CHI Geneva winning the 5* opening class

In the Table A against the clock, over 50 combinations gathered to warm up in for the the busy following weekend in the first 5* class in Geneva. Over 1.40m, Irishman Mark McAuley kept all competition behind him, jumping to victory with GRS Lady Amaro (by Amaretto D Arco).

Only 13 riders kept their horses clear over the technically built course that immediately set the bar high for the first international combinations in the arena. The nine-year-old chestnut mare rode McAuley across the finish line in 56.09. Still within the same second but with 90 hundredths on the clock, Elian Baumann crossed the finish line riding Clintfino (by Clinton). Ben Maher followed just under half a second later and was good for third place on Enjeu de Grisien (by Toulon).

The top five was further completed by Fanny Guerdat Skalli and Diana du Langrier (by Dandy du Marais II) followed by local combination Edwin Smits on Dover 9
