Penelope Leprevost and Djagger Semilly on top in Thursday's CSI4* 1.50m Big Tour Grand Prix Qualifier at Sunshine Tour

On Thursday, the CSI4* 1.50m Big Tour Class was the highlight of the day at the Sunshine Tour. Also counting as a qualifier for the Grand Prix, the international riders went all in with their eyes set on the prize. Penelope Leprevost (FRA) ensured some girlpower and finished first aboard of Djagger Semilly.

42 out of the nearly 90 starting combinations managed to stay clear. Gilles Thomas (BEL) guided the 11-year-old gelding by Colestus towards the finish without touching any wood and achieved a fast time of 59.19s. The Spaniard Mariano Martinez Bastida placed second with the Zangersheide stallion Quark de Preuilly Z (Quaprice Bois Margot) with a time of 58.45s. The winning time was achieved by Penelope Leprevost. The French rider guided Djagger Semilly (Diamant de Semilly) to the finish line in 58.20s. 

In fourth place was El Ghali Boukaa (MAR) aboard of Ugolino du Clos (L'Arc de Triomphe) with a time of 59,50s. Finishing with only one hundredth of a second later was Alix Ragot (FRA) with Diaz de Ush (Kapitol d'Argonne), landing with 59,51s on five.
