90,000 euros for Lavallino ter Klomp offspring, on average 63,300 euros at Fences Web Auction

The eleven young show jumping horses from the Fences Web auction went under the hammer this past weekend during the CSI Bourg-en-Bresse. The top seller was the BWP bred Real Magic van de Rostal, fetching an amount of 90,000 euros.

The son of Lavallino ter Klomp is a breeding product of the Peeters family’s Rostal breeding in Bouwel. The 7-year-old gelding has as his dam Magic Dream (by Contender), known for her performance under the saddle of Erica Lickhammer, with whom she competed at the 1.60m level, and he already has experience up to the 1.35m level.


The equally aged Selle Français mare Hermione de Jaurand (by Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve out of a Quaprice Bois Margot Quincy dam) changed owners for 81,000 euros, making her the second most expensive horse sold. 80,000 euros was bid for both the 6-year-old Ixora des Forets (by By Ceira d'Ick out of a Le Tot de Semilly dam) and the 7-year-old Midnight Spiros (by Spiros Z out of an Indorado dam). This son of Spiros Z is registered with the KWPN by breeder A.G.M. Van Overbeek.
