Georgina Marshall speeds to victory in CSI1* Grand Prix

While the CSI2* Grand Prix will be ridden later this evening, the CSI1* Grand Prix has just been ridden in Gent. 65 combinations entered this class and twelve of them managed to jump a clear first round. A jump-off with 12 combinations therefore had to decide about the winner.

The first combination entering the show for the jump-off was the British rider Georgina Marshall and her horse Zodiac Z. She immediately rode a super fast clear round. This combination stopped the clock after 29,70 seconds and with this time they managed to put the pressure on their other competitors. Eventually nobody managed to cope with the pressure and therefore Marshall could call herself the winner of the Grand Prix.

The Dutch rider Vincent Geerink ended second place with Iniesta (f. California W Z). They jumped a clear jump-off in 30,49 seconds. Paris Vandousselaere was the best Belgian rider. She was the last rider to enter the ring for the jump-off and she did everything in her power to give the Belgian audience a Belgian victory. But in the end her time of 31,10 seconds wasn't enough to keep the victory in Belgium. She and Joske F (f. Tornedo Fcs) ended third.

Carolina Idänpään-Heikkilä took account of the fourth place. She saddled Voltaire de la Lande (v. Ilvien des Mielles) to ride to the finish line in 31,27 seconds.. Amber Bogaert and Bambou Ideal Home (v. Shindler de Muze) ended fifth.
