MET: Simon Delestre and Dexter Fontenis Z race to victory in the 1.50m Grand Prix of Oliva

The day ended at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour with a 1.50m Grand Prix. This class that also counted for the Longines Ranking, proved to be a very difficult one. With only five combinations managing to keep the zero in the first round, it was a short but thrilling jump-off.

Olivier Philippaerts immediately rode to first place and for a while it looked like he would stay there on the throne. But that was beyond Simon Delestre. He rode the nine-year old gelding Dexter Fontenis Z (by Diarado) to victory in the winning time of 40.67 seconds. This landed Olivier Philippaerts with the grey mare H&M Legend Of Love (by Landzauber) in second place. The pair rode over the finish line in 41.82 seconds. Roger Yves Bost could count on the SF-mare Bluemuch des Baleines (by Chacco-Blue) and completed the top three with a time of 42.40 seconds.

Jérôme Guery (Napoli vh Nederassenthof) provided Belgium a fourth place. On five followed Tobias Meyer (Casablanca-H).
