Kitty King and Cristal Fontaine win Gold at World Championships Le Lion d'Angers
In Le Lion d'Angers, France the day has come we crown the young champions for eventing horses. After today's final show jumping class it was Great-Britain's Kitty King who claimed the gold medal with her Cristal Fontaine (Chef Rouge). The combination started the championships in a third position after the dressage. They kept on this third spot after the cross yesterday to advance in the leading position after a clear show jumping course.

With a total of 25.4 it was a close victory on compatriot Piggy French with Emerald Jonny (Waldo van Dungen). French collected a total of 25.8. USA's Elisabeth Halliday-Sharp completed the stage aboard Cooley Moonshine (Cobra).

Elisabeth started on top after an impressive dressage round. Also after the cross she kept in the leading position. With one jumping fault she eventually took the bronze medal.
