These are the new Champions of the FEI World Cup Finals Vaulting
Among the highlights of the Signal Iduna Cup in Dortmund was certainly the FEI World Cup Finals of Vaulting. In the groups of Female, Male and Pas de Deux the athletes competed with their freestyle choreographies over two rounds to find the the World Cup Champion of the 16/17 season.

Female

The female vaulters were first to go and crowned Italian Anna Cavallora as new World Cup Champion. With a total score of 8.654 she was closely followed by Kristina Boe from Germany, finishing with a final score of 8.534. The third spot on the podium was claimed by Silvia Stopazzini, having a final score of 8.242.



Pas de Deux

In the Pas de Deux ranking, Stopazzini stood upfront. Together with her partner Lorenzo Lupacchini the duo dominated throughout both rounds and celebrated another Italian and well-deserved victory at a score of 8.698. The German combination Thersa Sophie Bresch and Torben Jacobs were placed second accumulating 8.439 points in total. Jolina Ossenberg Engels and Timo Gerdes came in third, closing the World Cup Finals with a total of 7.922 points.



Male

Within the Male class, the old champion remained the new champion. German Jannis Drewell claimed the title, winning both rounds of the Finals. Lukas Heppler from Switzerland completed the competition on second place, followed by another German competitor, Jannik Heiland who completed the podium on third place.
