Angelie Von Essen claims exciting Grand Prix win at de Peelbergen
Course designer Henk Linders did a good job today with twelve out of 54 riders finishing the first round without penalty points today at Grand Prix at Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen in the Netherlands. It resulted in an exciting jump off with Angelie Von Essen taking the victory back home to Sweden. Belgian rider Rik Hemerynck rode his own horse Bretling du Paradis Z and finished second, crossing the finish line not even one second slower than Von Essen.

It took Von Essen and her powerful horse Converter only 31.96 seconds to get to the finish. Hemerynck took on the time aboard his gelding from Bamako de Muze, but could not beat the time having a ride in 32.89 seconds.

Two exciting clear rounds by Leon Thijssen and his KWPN gelding Fireball made him end up on the third rank, following the second in the ranking with a tiny little time plus of 0.17 seconds. Thijssen was directly followed by his Dutch colleague Bart Bles, presenting the thirteen year old Wolisco Ddh. Omer Karaevli competing for Turkey finished fifth in the show off with his Hannoveranian Cortani (v. Cornet Oblenski x Athletico)
