Annabel Shields is on a roll at Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen

Annabel Schields is having the weekend of a lifetime during the first week of the Spring Tour at the Dutch Equestrian Centre de Peelbergen. After winning three classes during the week she just claimed the CSI1* Grand Prix. Together with the gray Holsteiner My Casall (by Cassini II) the managed to stay ahead of the two Irish "men" Conor Drain and Harry Allen.

Shields was third to go in a jump-off with fifteen riders and put a smashing time of 30.64 seconds on the clock. Even the fast Irish riders could not take on shields.

"It was a successful week till now" a happy Shields replied after her fourth win this week. "I have been riding My Cassall for one and a half year now and he is just great. Today everything fit perfect in this Grand Prix"

Harry was the first to have a crack at it with the speedy mare Eh Quick Nina (v. Quidam's rubin) from his big brother Betram. Allen made a plan with his brother and took an extra short turn after the Tal Milstein jump to gain some time. But the plan did not deliver as the pair came across the finish in 31.36 seconds having to settle with a third place.

Drain did come really close with his KWPN mare Forever (v. C-Ingmar). The pair used the same tactic and stopped the clock on 30.93 seconds to claim second place.

Dutch Sanne Thijssen rode her Zangersheide stallion Punjab to the fourth place. Aboard the stunning Perigeux-son the finished the course in 32.32 seconds. Rasmus Lüneburg who was first to go during the jump-off finished in fifth place with the Holsteiner mare Corniola 2 (v. Contender).
