The first few starters in the jump-off all finished with four penalties. However when it was Smolders turn aboard Zinius (by Nabab de Reve) the Dutch rider kept his head straight and took the first clear round of the day in a compelling 43.88 seconds. With at least half of the remaining jockeys still to go he had to wait and see if the result would be enough for a victory. He didn't need to worry, his time was set and no other rider came close. Only the top four finished with a clear double round.
In second place we found Japan's Hikari Yoshizawa aboard Conrato (by Caretino) with whom he took second place in 44.99 seconds. With that time he dove under Peter Moloney's time who stopped the chromo at 45.75 seconds aboard Compelling Z (by Chellano Z). Dutch rider Jeroen Dubbeldam could count today on his Donjo (by Zirocco Blue VDL) with whom he claimed fourth place after a clear round in 46.31 seconds.
Fastest rider of the day was Charlotte Bettendorf aboard Hope Street (by Casall). Unfortunately she could not keep a clear round and finished in 42.97 seconds in fifth place.
