Home crowd dominates the concluding Knokke Hippique class
The sun alternated with some clouds, but that couldn't stop the crowd to visit the first day of the CSI5* Knokke Hippique. Late night the 1.50m CSI5* class finished and thus the first day in Knokke. It were the home riders that dominated the speed class.

From the start, Nicola Philippaerts set the unbeatable record time aboard the 12-year-old H&M Quenzo de la Roque (by Kannan). The pair stopped the clock in 60.44 seconds, almost two seconds faster as compatriot Jérome Guery.

Guery already won a class today. Now he placed second aboard his Grand Prix-winning horse of last year, Papillon Z (by Perhaps). Olympic Champion, Steve Guerdat placed third with Albuehren's Happiness (by Hearbeat). The pair concluded their course in 63.17 seconds.

The top five was completed by Blast week's Bonheiden GP-winner, Niels Bruynseels (Gancia de Muze) and last week's LGCT Monaco GP-winner, Emanuele Gaudiano (Guess).
