Italy dominates Monaco's LGCT Grand Prix
The Longines Global Champions Tour evening concluded with the 1.60m Grand Prix in Monte Carlo, Monaco. A total of nine combinations returned for the final jump-off, with six producing a clear round.

In the end it turned out to be an Italian night. Both Belgium and Italy had two representatives in the ultimate battle round. Eventually Italy finished on top thanks to Emanuele Gaudiano and his trusted stallion Caspar 232 (by Casper). The pair stopped the clock in 36.64 seconds, almost one second faster as their compatriot.

Piergiorgio Bucci followed in a second place aboard Casallo Z. Sweden's Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and Casall Ask (by Caretino) completed the stage.

Belgium's pairs, Jerome Guery (Allicante) and Nicola Philippaerts (Bisquet Balou C) eventually finished 8th and 9th.

The top five was completed by John Whitaker (Ornellaia) and Christina Liebherr (L.B. Eagle Eye) in fourth and fifth place.
