Jack Towell takes the first big win in Shanghai
The first day of the Longines Global Champions Tour in Shanghai concluded with the 1.50/1.55m class. Earlier Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano topped the 1.45m opening class, as he now finished third with his sweepy start in Shanghai.

Aboard his white 10-years-old Stallion Caspar 232 he finished third after a clear jump-off. Only Scott Brash and Jack Towell did better.

Towell set the fastest time in the jump-off with 15 horse-rider combinations. Together with the 10-years-old New York (by Verdi) he stopped the clock in 35.18 seconds, taking home the win and almost 110,000 Euro.

Great-Britain's Scott Brash followed in a second place with Hello Fever (by For Pleasure). The pair crossed the finish clear in 35.28 seconds.

The top five was completed by World number one, Simon Delestre with Chesall Zimequest and Dutch Maikel Van der Vleuten (VDL Groep Verdi TN N.O.P.).
