Sanne Thijssen stays ahead of Denis Lynch in the Grand Prix of Dortmund
The Signal Iduna Cup in Dortmund finishes with the Grand Prix of the German Republic. After a jump-off among the best six it was 18-years-old Sanne Thijssen who claimed the victory ahead of world class riders Denis Lynch and Christian Kukuk.

The technical 1.60m course designed by Martin Otto and his team challenged the 50-headed starterfield and only six riders returned into the Westfalenhallen arena to battle it out. Sanne Thijssen, already the audience's favorite after the first round, stayed off the rails with her 11-years-old Holstein-stallion Con Quidam Rb (by Quinar) and finished in unbelievable 36:58 seconds. Only the Irish showjumper Denis Lynch aboard Van Helsing (by Valentino) managed to stay without faults and came in second with a time of 40:07 seconds. German Christian Kukuk and the Cornet Obolensky-son Colestus, who had the difficult task of opening the jump-off, completed the podium with 4 penalties in 37:92 seconds.

Pieter Clemens and Verdico (by Verdi) for Belgium crossed the finish line with 4 penalties at a time of 38:70 seconds followed by Dutch Frank Schuttert, competing the 9-years-old Chianti's Champion (by Champion du Lys). With a final score of 4 penalties and 38:73 seconds the duo wrapped up the Top 5 of the 1.60m - Grand Prix in Dortmund.
