In the meantime the Longines Global Champions Tour of Mexico is in full motion. Last night the 5* riders competed in the main class of the day, a 1m40-class against the clock. The victory went to Spain thanks to Eduardo Alvarez Aznar.
Together with Full Option van't Zand (v. Flamingo K) Eduardo Alvarez Aznar was unstoppable. He finished in 60,82 seconds, which was more than fast enough for the victory. Tobias Meyer jumped to second place with Casablanca-H (v. Conteur), setting a time of 64,29 seconds. Jane Richards and Victorio des Grez (v. Nabab de Reve) claimed the third place in 66,50 seconds. The top five was completed by Mexico. Patricio Pasquel and Babel (v. Billy du Lys) finished in fourth place, right before his fellow countrymen Arturo Parada Vallejo, who ended in fifth place with Pandora (v. Perigueux).
CSI2* 1m45 in two phases: Mexico on top
The 1m45-class was mostly dominated by Mexico. Juan Jose Zendejas Salgado jumped to victory. He quickly guided Tino la Chapelle (v. Mylord Carthago) through the course without any faults, resulting in a winning time of 28,42 seconds. His fellow countrymen Francisco Pasquel Vega ended in second place with Dominant 2000 Z (v. Diamant de Semilly) in 28,59 seconds. Ignacio Maurin and Franco (v. Firth of Lorne) completed the top three in 28,96 seconds. CSI2* 1m35 in two phases: again dominated by Mexico
In the 1m35-class the entire top five was for Mexico. Martina Franco Stephan claimed first place with Zenith M (v. Nomelus R) in 21,08 seconds. Agustin Carvantes Herrada and Copernica Q (v. Cardento) were just a bit slower, finishing in second place in 22,10 seconds. Luciana Gonzalez Guerra and Cardenta Z finished in third place in 22,65 seconds. Patricio Pasquel Poo (Ircos IV) and Jackeline Krystell Lopez Castro (Hard Rock) completed the top five.
