Lorenzo de Luca writes CSI3* Grand Prix of Grimaud to his name

In Grimaud, under the French sun, an international CSI3* competition is quietly drawing to a close. Just now the Grand Prix of the CSI3* competition was jumped and it yielded an Italian victory. Lorenzo de Luca's Carlson 86 (by Colorit) was the fastest of ten jump-off candidates. The 15-year-old gelding did not come close to the wood and finished in 40.93 seconds.

Angelica Augustsson Zanotellu followed in second place. She counted on Kalinka van de Nachtegaele (by Epleaser van't Heike) to jump a clear round in 41.01 seconds. Gregory Wathelet got to sit on the third podium step; riding the 11-year-old mare Argentina de la Marchette (by Acajou de la Marchette), he left zero on the scoreboard and clocked off in 41.14 seconds.

Robin Muhr took third place. With Dollar Dela Pierre daughter Elue des Granits under the saddle, he jumped a clear round in 41.25 seconds. Jana Wergers and Limbridge (by Guardus Limbus) completed the top five.
