Sanne Thijssen speeds to the win in the CSI4* 1.55m Big Tour Grand Prix of Vejer de la Frontera

In the CSI4* Horseware Big Tour Grand Prix, riders were presented with a tough course over a height of 1.55m. In this Longines Ranking class, seven riders qualified for the jump-off and four combinations remained double clear. As one of the last riders to enter the arena, Sanne Thijssen put down an insanely fast round and outclassed everyone.

Sanne Thijssen could count on her loyal Holsteiner stallion Con Quidam RB (by Quinar Z) to record an incredibly fast jump-off in 40.86 seconds. With this she was by far the fastest combination and went home with the gold in this 1.55m Grand Prix. American rider Michael Hughes could count on his BWP-gelding Kashmir van d'Oude Pastory (by Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) to ride to second place in 45.34 seconds. The young Belgian rider Gilles Thomas rode in the saddle of eleven-year-old Luna van het Dennehof (by Prince van de Wolfsakker) to third place with a time of 45.99 seconds.

German rider Marcel Marschall (Extra Strong) ensured a fourth place. For Egypt, Karim Elzoghby (Gallos) came in fifth.
