Just three days after his victory in the $400,000 'Pan American' Cup at Spruce Meadows, American rider Kent Farrington raced to victory in the Turkish Airlines - Preis von Europa 1.55m class in Aachen today aboard the gelding Voyeur. Kent set a blistering time of 47.82 seconds and was only one of two riders that broke the 50 second mark, the other being Alvaro de Miranda with a time of 48.88 seconds but with 4 faults he finished in 11th place. Portuguese rider Luciana Diniz was in the lead for a short period of time with the mare Lady Lindenhof (51.06 seconds) but she finished in second place. In third place was Irish rider Shane Breen with the gelding Confident of Victory , for a while it looked like Shane might have been victorious but had to settle with third place. The best German rider was Meredith Michaels Beerbaum in fourth place aboard her newly acquired gelding Fibonacci 17 (51.33 seconds).
