Springsteen beats Moloney in $35.000 Open Jumper speed class

Today the tables were turned for Jessica Springsteen and Richie Moloney at the International Open Jumper Speed class at the CP National Horse show in Lexington. Yesterday it was Moloney who kept Springsteen and Davendy S from the win. But today it was the always charming Jessica who gave Richie a run for his money. Springsteen was just 0.09 seconds faster in the 1.45 speed and handiness class with her 13 year old Belgian bred Devendy S (by Kashmir van Schuttershof). The Irish rider did put in a very fast round with his gelding from Voltaire, but crossed the finish line in 57.79 seconds just lagging behind on the USA's Springsteen who had put 57.68 on the clock. Leslie Howard and the only 8 year old Donna Speciale followed in third position after a clear ride in 58.40 seconds. The pair just managed to keep German David Will at bay, who finished in fourth with Cento Du Rout (by. Chintan) after a clear in 58.65 seconds. Fifth place was for Beezie Madden and Coach (by. Con Air). Check out all results here.
