After an exciting cross country course at the Olympic Games in Paris, the tables have turned. While Great-Britain holds on to it's leading position it is Germany's Michael Jung jumping into the lead of the individual ranking.
Michael Jung and his horse Chipmunk FRH (Contendro I) have jumped into the lead after today's cross-country phase! Jung managed to keep a clear round in the cross-country and finished without any faults. British rider, Laura Collett played it safe with London 52 in the final line and, as a result, was unable to finish within the time limit. With 0.8 penalty points, she currently sits in second place, just 0.5 penalty points behind Jung. Australia's Christopher Burton places himself in third place with Shadow Man, 3.7 penalty points behind.
Great Britain is on course for Olympic gold. After New Zealand and Germany saw their chances dwindle due to falls, this opens doors for France and also Japan, who are currently second and third in the team ranking!
