British Eventer Zara Phillips will not be competing at this years FEI European Eventing Championships at Blair Castle (10-13 September) as her horse,  the 14 year old Irish gelding High Kingdom (Master Imp x High Dolly), has not fully recovered from an injury that he sustained in April at the Rolex event in Kentucky. The gelding was scheduled to compete in the Dressage phase on the first day in Kentucky when he kicked out and split the skin on his pastern while being tacked up. High Kingdom was soon withdrawn from the competition and travelled home the following month after spending time in an equine hospital. As High Kingdom is Zara's top horse and she has no other horse at this level, it now means that she is no longer in contention to compete at Blair Castle for the European's.
