British showjumper Scott Brash has frequently been in the spotlight over the past 365 days. Campaigning eight different horses, the Briton emerged as the top-earning rider of 2025 in terms of prize money won.
The highest earnings of the year were achieved by Brash, who collected a total of €3,622,097. Second place goes to world number one Kent Farrington. The American rider earned €2,345,520 with a string of nine horses. However, Farrington holds a unique distinction: he recorded the highest number of CSI5* Grand Prix victories over the course of the year.
France's Simon Delestre ranks third on the list, having gathered €1,915,470 over the past twelve months. Following a highly successful year, Gilles Thomas also features prominently; with earnings just shy of two million euros, he stands as the fourth highest-earning rider of 2025.
Analysis shows that participation in the Longines Global Champions Tour and the Global Champions League remains the most lucrative way for riders to boost their total prize winnings.
Note: It is important to clarify that these figures represent the gross total of prize money won. They do not take into account the significant operational costs incurred by the riders. These expenses include travel (for the rider, grooms, and horses), entry fees (where applicable), accommodation, team salaries, stabling, and feed, among others.
