This week, Cian O’Connor makes his first appearance in the ring with Chatolinue PS (Diablo Blanco x Stakkatol) at the international shows in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain. The 12-year-old gelding was previously ridden by Italian rider Riccardo Pisani, with whom he achieved an impressive series of results last season.
During the European Championships in A Coruña, Chatolinue PS stood out by jumping clear in the first three rounds, securing a place in the individual final. A few months later, he once again impressed with a double clear in the Longines FEI League of Nations™ in St. Tropez-Gassin, France.
Initially, the gelding was set to move to Belgium, but he ultimately joined the stable of Irish top rider Cian O’Connor, who took over the reins from Abdel Said. With this acquisition, O’Connor further strengthens his strong team ahead of the upcoming outdoor season.
O’Connor is looking forward to getting to know his new mount: Chatolinue has delivered fantastic results with Riccardo, including in A Coruña, St. Tropez, and in the Grand Prix of La Baule, where he finished sixth.
