VDL Stud has announced the sale of the eight-year-old stallion, McAllister VDL (Inaico VDL x Emilion). "Our eight-year-old McAllister has been sold to the United Arab Emirates," the statement reads.
"The remarkable sportive achievements of the talented stallion have not gone unnoticed and have led to the sale," VDL Stud continues.
As a young horse, McAllister received his training with Marcel de Boer, and later, under the saddle of Jur Vrieling, McAllister VDL developed into a very successful show jumper. The duo recently made their 1.55m-level debut as an 8-year-old, and McAllister achieved several victories at the 1.45m-level. Highlights include wins at the CSI5* of Vienna, the CSI3* of Wiener Neustadt, and the CSI2* of Zuidwolde. Thanks to his scope and attitude, McAllister VDL profiles himself as a horse for the future in the higher levels of the sport.
The approved KWPN stallion will be competed in the United Arab Emirates by international show jumper Mohammed Ghanem Al Hajri. A noteworthy detail is that Al Hajri previously had success at Grand Prix level with Doklahoma VDL, the sister of McAllister VDL.
