The CSI4* 1.50m class at the Sweden International Horse Show unfolded as an intense battle between the home crowd’s favorite and an exceptionally strong Belgian delegation. In the end, it was once again Peder Fredricson who secured the victory.
Fredricson set the standard on home soil by delivering a composed double-clear performance with Sv Vroom de La Pomme Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles), stopping the clock at 40.32 seconds. His time proved unbeatable, though Nicola Philippaerts came close aboard Moya Vd Bisschop (Darco). The Belgian also produced a faultless jump-off round, finishing in 41.71 seconds to take second place.
The third podium spot also went to Belgium thanks to Gilles Thomas, who guided Chuck Marienshof Z (Colestus) smoothly through the course and secured his top-three finish with a clear 42.62 seconds.
Just off the podium, Harrie Smolders completed his jump-off round with Bingo du Parc (Mylord Carthago HN) in 44.86 seconds, while Abdel Saïd closed the top five. Saïd crossed the finish in a particularly fast 40.77 seconds, but a rail down kept Zasou Vom Claashof (Zinedine) out of contention for a podium place.
