The ten-year-old Holsteiner mare Myla, who produced several standout results in recent months under world number one Kent Farrington, has found a new rider. Rising U.S. talent Stella Wasserman takes over the reins, adding another high-quality horse to her developing competition string, guided by five-time Olympian McLain Ward.
Myla, registered as Happy Hour 22 and sired by Crunch 3 out of Dinara I (Quadros 3), brings extensive international experience to her new rider. She made her early appearances on the international stage with Switzerland’s Annina Züger-Hächler before representing Spain under Ismael García Roque and later Sergio Alvarez Moya. In 2023 she moved to Kent Farrington, quickly becoming a reliable performer at four- and five-star level.
With Farrington, Myla delivered several notable results, including victory in the CSI4* Grand Prix of Opglabbeek. She also secured a runner-up finish in the Longines Global Champions Tour leg of Paris and claimed the prestigious Turkish Airlines – Prize of Europe at CHIO Aachen, one of the season’s most sought-after classes.
This past weekend, the new pair Wasserman–Myla made their first appearance together in the CSI5* arena at Santa Anita Park in California. They recorded four faults in a 1.45 m two-phase class and eight faults in the 1.50 m two-round competition. These performances mark valuable first steps as they begin to build their partnership toward a future on the international top level.
