About a year ago, Kevin Staut took over the reins of Grand Prix horse Milton from Jérôme Guery and Cyril Cools. In 2025, the grey horse will appear with a new rider in the saddle. The son of Mylord Carthago has now made his debut with Brazilian rider Luciana Diniz!
In 2024, Martina Romagnoli (Heritage Stud) purchased the then 13-year-old stallion with the goal of entrusting him to Kevin Staut in preparation for the Olympic Games. However, the pair never competed in international competitions. At the end of last year, Belgium’s Pieter Kenis briefly took the reins.
Last weekend, Luciana Diniz debuted with her new star at the CSI2* competition in Opglabbeek.
Milton has already competed at the international level under five different riders – Pim Mulder, José Alfredo Hernandez Ortega, Jérôme Guéry, Cyril Cools, and Pieter Kenis – and was also temporarily entrusted to Marcus Ehning and Kevin Staut. The talented grey horse is now starting a new chapter. He first gained widespread recognition in 2021 when he shone under Belgium’s Jérôme Guéry in Nations Cups and 5* Grand Prix events. Later, in 2023, he gave Cyril Cools a dream season, achieving outstanding results during the Morocco Royal Tour, including second-place finishes in the 4* Grand Prix events of Tétouan and El Jadida, and contributing to Belgium’s victory in the Nations Cup at the CSIO 4* in Rabat.
