In the United States of America a new scandal has come to the surface. Tim Sappington, an employee at the slaughterhouse, has shot a horse in the head. Sappington wanted to send out a signal to all the animal caring people. About seven years ago the American authorities forbid the slaughter of horses, but at the same time controls were reduced significantly.
On a video, posted on YouTube, You can see how Sappington miscalls the animal rights activist where after he killes the horse with a bullet. The owner of the Valley Meat Corporation regrets the incident but also states that Sappington in fact didn't do anything wrong. The local police authorities now investigate if this is a case of animal abuse.
