The case against Ludger Beerbaum formed by the German Equestrian Federation has now been dismissed by its disciplinary committee. Beerbaum came under fire from video footage broadcast by German television that was then thoroughly screened by the disciplinary committee. They now conclude that the footage does not constitute hard evidence whether the horse was hurt intentionally or not.
In early 2022, the FEI determined that the footage of Ludger Beerbaum was unacceptable for the welfare of the horse. Now the German Equestrian Foundation's disciplinary committee has reviewed several recordings, of which only one led to the proceedings. The other footage did not present a clear picture of those involved or any violations.
