Charlotte Fry heads Dressage World Cup Grand Prix in London

On home soil, London International Horse Show ambassador Charlotte "Lottie" Fry managed to do what she does best, and danced together with Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale) to a stunning victory in today's World Cup Grand Prix.

The double World Champion set an amazing score of over 84%, and was unanimously crowned the winner of the class aboard the 11-year-old Dutch KWPN stallion Glamourdale. The judges also agreed on the silver, which went to compatriot Gareth Hughes. In the saddle of the also Dutch-bred mare Classic Briolinca (Trento B), Hughes rode to a score of 78.263%. The successful German eventing and dressage rider Ingrid Klimke took the bronze medal, by collecting a total percentage of 75.421 on the back of the Hanoverian stallion Franziskus FRH (Fidertanz 2).

Klimke's compatriot, Helen Langehanenberg also set a marvelous result. She and the 14-year-old Holstein mare Annabelle took fourth place with a score of 74.816%. The Dutchman Hans Peter Minderhoud caused a stir with the judges in the saddle of the 14-year-old KWPN stallion Glock's Dream Boy (Vivaldi). Although the judges at C awarded the duo third place, they were less enthusiastic at E and M where they scored them sixth. Eventually, the Dutch pair ended up in fifth place with an average of 73.447% on the scoreboard.
