David Will and Zaccorado Blue on top in CSI5* 1.50m Longines Ranking of Riyadh

In anticipation of the LGCT unfolding tonight in Riyadh, 36 rider and horse combinations competed in the CSI5* 1.50m Longines Ranking class.

Belgian Abdel Saïd entered the competition with Arpege du Ru, bred by Christophe Legue. The 13-year-old Selle Française daughter of Apache d'Adriers performed well in the 1.50m high course, crossing the finish line in 63.50 seconds. Prior to that, Gilles Thomas had already comfortably secured a place on the podium with a flawless round on Feromas van Beek Z. The Zangersheide stallion by Fantomas de Muze, bred at 't Eirbissemhof, recorded a time of 63.73 seconds and finished fourth.

The winning time was clocked by David Will. The German rider was aboard Zaccorado Blue (Breeder: Tanja Schramm), a 10-year-old Holsteiner gelding sired by Zirocco Blue, and they finished in 62.62 seconds. The silver medal went to Simon Delestre (FRA) and the 10-year-old KWPN stallion I Amelusina R 51 (Dexter R - Breeder: Stal Roelofs) with a time of 63.18 seconds.
