The Agria Trophy Derby Qualifier at Falsterbo Horse Show challenged 22 rider and horse combinations in a 1m45 high course designed by Santiago Varela. France's Julien Gonin made light work of it aboard Estrella de La Batia and with the ten years old mare by Diamant de Semilly he finished on top with their time on a fast 62,90s.
A clear round in 64,26s meant second place for Przemyslaw Konopacki (POL) with the nine years old Kaliber (Verdi). Carsten-Otto Nagel (GER) steered the Connor 48 gelding Cancaneur to the finish in 65,21s, leaving all the fences up.
Switzerland had some strong contenders with fourth place being for Alain Jufer and Dark Grey MM (Diacasall) followed by Olympic contender Steve Guerdat, who had Easy Star de Talma (Quick Star) under his saddle.
