Jumping rider Paul Estermann appeals seven-year suspension

The Sanctioning Committee (SAKO) of the Swiss Equestrian Federation (SVPS) imposed a seven-year ban on jumper Paul Estermann on March 27, 2023. The latter filed a timely appeal against this decision. The case is now before the association court of the SVPS.

The background to the punishment imposed by the SVPS under association law was the legally binding conviction of Paul Estermann by the Lucerne Cantonal Court on Nov. 18, 2022, for multiple acts of intentional cruelty to animals. Read more about the conviction here
