Kent Farrington and his long-time partner, Creedance (breeder: A.H.A Hassing), marked their final international appearance at the CSI4*-W Royal Horse Show in Toronto. They secured victory in the $80,000 1.50m Canadian Open International Speed Challenge, adding to their impressive record of five other international wins earlier in the year.
"A horse full of energy with the perfect mindset," that's how Farrington remembers his first meeting with the Dutch bred gelding. "His intelligence and mindset is what make him one of the top horses in the world!"
Creedance, who is already sixteen, has been by Farrington's side for nearly a decade, displaying exceptional jumping prowess. Farrington purchased Creedance from Stephex Stables at the age of seven and fondly recalls the horse's athleticism and unique personality.
Their most recent victories include two wins in the CSI5* MLSJ tour in Traverse City but also a double CSI4*-W 1.50m victory in Toronto spread over two different shows. They also were on top of the stage in the CSI5* shows of Spruce Meadows and Vancouver.
"You need to stop at the height of the career," Farrington replies on why now ...
Happy retirement, Creedance!
