Saturday night's CSI4* 1m50 Longines Trophy had Mariano Martinez Bastida on top, keeping the victory on home turf aboard of Belano vd Wijnhoeve Z.
Ten rider and horse combinations made it into the jump-off of this main class in the Casas Novas Summer Edition. With the fifteen years old offspring of Belano, Bastida crossed the finishline in 35,61s leaving all the rails up. Constant van Paesschen (BEL) steered Kannavara Z (Kannan) in 37,07s to a clear round, finishing second. With the nine years old Karonia.L (Harley), Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida's (POR) time fault of the first round didn't keep them from taking third place.
Roger Yves 'Bosty' Bost (FRA) didn't touch a single pole with the Zangersheide stallion Cassius Clay VDV Z and took fourth place with the Calvino Z offspring. Maikel van der Vleuten, who is prepping to represent the Netherlands in the Olympics, came in fifth on Elwikke (Eldorado vd Zeshoek).
