McLain Ward and First Lady win the CSIO5* 1.50m Van Lanschot Kempen Prize of Rotterdam

Before the starting signal for the Nations Cup in Rotterdam was given on Friday, the CSIO5* 1.50m class was completed. With points for the Longines Ranking at stake, McLain Ward secured the top spot. 

McLain Ward (USA) was aboard the Don Diarado daughter First Lady. With about 1/3rd of a second difference, they stayed ahead of Peder Fredricson (SWE) and the Zangersheide stallion SV Vroom de La Pomme (Vigo d'Arsouilles) from the breeding farm of Geert Baertsoen. Local rider Pim Mulder (NED) piloted Dunaghmore (Ustinov) into third place. The duo also grabbed the bronze on home soil yesterday. 

Ioli Mytilineou (GRE) took fourth place with Casanova Hastak DWB (Cosmeo). On five came Khaled Almobty (KSA) and Spacecake (Stakkatol).
