Like last week, the big class on the first day of competition at the Haras des Grillons de Ratières, as part of the Winter Tour of the HUBSIDE JUMPING Valence, went to Olivier Perreau, associated with GL events Dolce Deceuninck (v. Toulon). He remains ahead of two other French couples: Julien Anquetin on Cesus de Fougnard (v. Tlaloc M), and Marc Dilasser, riding E2k Abricot Ennemmelle (v. Quaprice Bois Margot). It was a good day for Rhône-Alpes rider Perreau, who also captured second place in the other CSI 3* event, this time with GL events Venizia d'Aiguilly (v. Diamant de Semilly) . He was beaten by Germany's Kendra Claricia Brinkop, on In Time (v. Biscayo).
In the 1.45m main class of the day where Perreau was victorious, the top five was filled with Lorenzo de Luca on four with Dirka de Blondel (v. Very Berlin de Castel) followed by Giulia Martinengo Marquet on Scuderia 1918 Quick and Easy 3 (v. Quick Orion D'Elle).
The highest class over 1.50m had Brinkop on top with In Time. Behind Perreau on second was Belgian Andres Vereecke with Kingston van Paemel (v. Numero Uno). Sadri Fegaier was fourth on Cleo Z (v. Clintissimo Z) ahead of Constan van Paesschen who finished fifth on Vendetta Treize (v. Diamant de Semilly).
