Robert Whitaker wins World Cup Helsinki

Robert Whitaker won today the World Cup in Helsinki. He was in the saddle of Catwalk IV. Yesterday, Whitaker was also victorious in the GP.

Robert Whitaker was aboard Catwalk IV (v. Colman) the fastest combination in the jump-off and finished in 38.13. He was almost one and a half second faster than Spain's Sergio Alvarez Moya with Jet Run (by Chacco Blue). Celine Schoonbroodt-De Azevedo rode her mare Chepetta (by Chepetto) to a third place in 40.09 seconds. 


Christian Kukuk aboard Quintino (by Quinton) were the last to start in the jump-off and made a strategic round. He wasn't going for speed but for accuracy. He finished in 47.18 seconds, which is almost ten seconds after Whitaker but did jump a clear round. Doing that, he left Swiss jumper Pius Schwizer behind him. Schwizer who came fifth aboard Cortney Cox (by Calro), had a faster time of 39.54 seconds but four penalties.  


Swedish Peter Fredricsson came in seventh aboard H&M Christian K (by Namelus R). Kevin Staut for France, and For Joy van 't Zorgvliet (by For Pleasure) together with Irish Denis Lynch, aboard GC Chopin's Bushi ( by Contendro II) both were qualified for the jump-off but did not finished it, placing them both on place 8.

Michael Jung, jumping for Germany, came tenth with Fischerchelsea (by Check In 2). He was not qualified for the jump-off, but was the fastest in the first course with four penalities.
