Ehning awards Calanda 42 with sportive retirement after winning Longines Ranking in Riesenbeck

Today Marcus Ehning announced the sportive retirement of his trusted mare, Calanda 42  (Calido I). The German show jumping rider announced the news after he conquered today's 1.45m CSI2* Longines Ranking class in Riesenbeck.

"Calando won today's Longines Ranking class in Riesenbeck. Very spontaneously we decided it is time to give her the joy of her sportive retirement. We end the career with a nice result. Thank you to the owners, the Nolte family. Thank you Calanda," Ehning says.

Together with Ehning the grey mare jumped from a Youngster level up to an international CSI5* Grand Prix level. Last year the pair competed at the FEI Longines World Cup finals in Leipzig. They placed among others in Sankt Gallen, St Tropez, Paris, Basel, Valkenswaard, Aachen, Asterdam, etc.
