Strong French jumping squad wins EEF CSIO3* Nations Cup in Gorla Minore

In Gorla Minore the EEF Series kicked-off with the CSIO3* Nations Cup. Over two rounds the French jumping squad jumped to gold, leaving Portugal with silver and Belgium on bronze!

At the orders of the Chef de Piste Edouard Couperie the French team was composed by: Olivier Robert (0/0) with Iglesias D.V. (2013, stallion, KWPN, Quasimodo Van De Molendreef x Indorado), Dylan Levallois (8/0) on Artiste de l’Abbaye (2010, stallion, Selle Français, Quaprice Bois Margot x Jus De Pomme), William Ligier De La Prade (0/0) and Galilee (2012, mare, SBS, Clintissimo Z x Fidji du Fleury), Jules Orsolini (0/N.P.) with Charlotte (2011, mare, Holsteiner, Casall x Carr).


The French Chef d'Equipe Edouard Couperie commented during the press conference dedicated to the winners: "I am particularly satisfied with this result, considering the fact that the team was made up of three young riders supported by an experienced rider who was the driving force, I couldn't ask for more! There is therefore a good chance of growth for the French team and I hope that the results in the next events will be similar to this”.

Second place honours in the inaugural leg of the Longines EEF Nations Cup went to Portugal with a total of 4 faults, Chef d'Equipe António Matos Almeida choose: Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida/Jordan Molga M (0/0), Mario Prieto/Othello Z (0/0), Adir Dias De Abreu/Dartanion (0/4) and António Matos Almeida/Chippo Z (N.P./4).

Fabienne Daigneux's Belgium closed on the third step of the podium with a total of 8 penalties, the team was made up as follows: Thibault Philippaerts/Obama de la Liniere (4/0), Gudrun Patteet/Sea Coast Enjoy Z (0/0), Jeroen Appelen /Moningo - D van't Heyveld (4/4) and Gilles Thomas/Puskas de Kalvarie (0/4).
