Auction topper WEF Sport Horse Auction raises $500,000

Last night the WEF Sport Horse Auction was concluded; The 7-year-old VDL High Five (by Harley VDL) was the auction topper, she went for a whopping $500,000. The auction was a collaboration between VDL Stud and the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington. 

A total of two jumpers were sold. The total proceeds of the auction were just under $3,000,000. "We look back on a very successful auction," echoed the organization. "Due to the corona situation, it was initially exciting whether the auction would be able to go ahead. In addition to the live auction, last night there was also the possibility of online bidding".
