Barbara Schnieper wins Les Trois Rois Swiss Cup final at Sankt Gallen

With Barbara Schnieper, for the first time a female rider wins the Swiss Cup Final at the 43rd edition, which was held at the Longines CSIO St. Gallen. The second place was taken by Steve Guerdat, third was Elian Baumann.

Six pairs remained clear in the first round with twelve obstacles. Not among them was Pius Schwizer, who is the record holder with seven titles. He was caught at the final jump.

The break before the second round lasted longer than planned because a thunderstorm broke out over the Gründenmoos.

The first double zero was achieved by Elian Baumann with Clintfino. The rider from Bern rode to safety. Steve Guerdat and Double Jeu wanted to know it, remained without blemish and were more than seven seconds faster with 49.40 seconds. Last to start was Barbara Schnieper with her twelve-year-old CH mare Judy KM. She attacked and won under thunderous applause in only 46.67 seconds.
