Berlin Eagles take lead after first round Global Champions League Madrid

On Spanish soil in Madrid, the first round of the Global Champions League Madrid was ridden this afternoon. It proved to be no easy task to leave the wood untouched among another very strong field of competitors. The Berlin Eagles, consisting of Christian Kukuk and Philipp Weishaupt took the lead with two clear rounds in a sharp time. 


The Berlin Eagles jumped to the leading position in this first round of the GCL. Christian Kukuk was able to count on Checker (by Comme Il Faut 5) to post a clear round in 78.77 seconds. His teammate Philipp Weishaupt and Coby (by Contagio) also finished without any penalties and with a time of 76.47 seconds. 

Following on two for now are the Rome Gladiators. Pieter Clemens and Crescendo MB Z (by Clinton) delivered a clear round in a time of 76.07 seconds. Fernando Martinez Sommer could count on Cor Bakker (by Calandro) to also provide the team with a clear round in a time of 80.69 seconds. 

The Prague Lions consisting of Brian Moggre with MTM Vivre le Reve (by Ustinov) and Sergio Alvarez Moya with Alamo (by Ukato) finished with only one jumping fault. That was made by Sergio Alvarez Moya on the first jump of the course. The team eventually finished in provisional third place. 

Individual classification 

Pieter Devos scored a lead in the individual ranking with Mom's Isaura (by Tinka's Boy). Pieter Clemens and Crescendo MB Z (by Clinton) followed on two. Philipp Weishaupt and Coby (by Contagio) secured third place. 

Places four and five were for Anthony Condon (SFS Vincomte) and Isabella Russekoff (Jumpy van de Hermitage).
