Deauville was all about the CSIO3* competition this week. As usual, the weekend ended with the Grand Prix. In this 1m55 high Grand Prix, no fewer than seventeen combinations managed to complete a clear first round. A busy jump-off therefore had to decide the winner. Because of the high number of participants, three combinations decided not to start in that jump-off. The French riders were very well represented in the jump-off, which also resulted in a French victory: Cedric Hurel, in the saddle of Fantasio Floreval Z (by Florian de la Vie), was able to record a clear jump-off behind his name in 42.24 seconds.
Portuguese Duarte Seabra followed in second place. He rode Dourados (by Diarado) clear to the finish in 43.45 seconds. Diarmuid Howley was allowed to sit on the third podium step. His 9-year-old Uriga VA (by Uriko) left the wood untouched and clocked off in 45.69 seconds.
Hugo Breul (Utahmano Alu) and Nicolas Layec (Bulgarie d'Engandou) completed the top five.
